Why h/hr is incest

Okay I just read this incredibly STUPID article on lexicon about Harry/Hermione and I had to comment on it.

Okay… I have this sort of gift. I can TELL instantly if there is attraction between two people. Even if its by description or in real life or in a book. Well… however not with myself but you get the point. I’m not trying to brag I’m stating the absolute truth.

So here it is with Harry/Hermione…. When I first read Harry Potter I didn’t notice ANYTHING but sisterly/brotherly love between them. Does it have to be if a guy says to a girl “I don’t think you’re ugly,” automatically they have to like them? Or if they spend too much time with a girl… he has to like them? Its absurd! There is NO ATTRACTION BETWEEN THEM! I would have noticed… believe me. It’s the awkward moments that define the relationship and that exists between Ron and Hermione.

So okay h/hr is incest. Why? Because they act like brother and sister to each other because neither of them have brothers or sisters? GASP did you notice that?? They found someone to replace the void in each others lives. Ron, however, has various siblings and therefore does not need sibling companionship. Therefore, he has harry to be his friend.. and now what? Companionship ( Hermione)

Okay so im done now. Do you get my drift and understand why h/hr is incest? Wouldn’t you protect your best guy/girl friend?

People ask me constantly if we are
together in the ways that I defend her
and how I will sing to her on the telephone
to make her smile if she is depressed
and all that shizen.

Nowadays, people either are a couple or
they are considered weird. You know...

yeah i cant see it either! i think most of it is due to poa, and the way that their relationship was kind of enhanced, in a way. but i think that alfonse was just trying to show the RAGING HORMONES! ahahaha

okay, my comment is actually unrelated to this post, but it's the post at the top of the page (since i'm not your LJ friend).

i just wanted to tell you that the person who posted in the [info]snicket_icons community about asking for icons...you (or another mod) deleted his (it's a he, I checked) post, because he wasn't following the rules, right?

Well he posted again...and before you delete that too, I want you to read what i commented, because even if I am not an activeactiveactive member of the community, I still am a part of it, and I just wanted to voice out before things got out of hand because of his...temper. Or whatever it is.

I completely ship R/Hr, but I still don't agree H/Hr is considered incest. Just because they ACT brotherly/sisterly doesn't mean they ARE brothers/sisters... =/

Okay I have a few comments to make and I suspect you'll delete it because when I looked yesterday there where comments dissagreeing with you and they are gone today.

Here are my comments:

I'm an only child so does that mean I can't get together with a guy best friend of mine who's also an only child?

and if you use the comment because you wouldn't want to loose your best friend if you broke up well neither would Ron/Hermoine would they?

So therefore I don't agree with that statement it would be conisdered as incest as H/Hr are NOT related in anyway unless R/Hr got married and H/G got married and that wouldn't be blood anyway.

Just passing through, noticed something interesting though:
Apparently Rowling was going to introduce a sister for Hermione but never got around to it, she mentioned in an interview that 'now it's too late'. Indeed.
